# 1flowbase

A self-hosted AI gateway and application backend that an AI agent can operate end to end through MCP: routing model traffic, defining data models that become database tables and CRUD APIs, and assembling React frontend blocks.

1flowbase combines an AI gateway with an application backend so an agent can build and run a full application through one set of MCP tools. The AI Gateway translates and dispatches OpenAI Responses, Chat Completions and Claude Messages traffic, routes between models, and publishes workflows as callable virtual models with logging.

The Application Backend lets an agent define data models that materialize as PostgreSQL tables, fields, indexes and relations, then generates governed CRUD APIs and custom workflow-backed endpoints automatically; native React frontend blocks add a responsive interface with data binding and Shadow DOM isolation. An MCP Gateway exposes all of this progressively to an agent, which can discover a domain, inspect a tool's contract, call it, and verify the result before continuing, without a hard-coded flow for each new task. The application does not depend on the AI Gateway; it is an optional connection for agents that also want routing and logging on their model calls.
