a2a-bridge
A bridge daemon that lets AI coding agents from different tools, including Claude Code, Codex, OpenClaw, Hermes Agent, Gemini CLI, Zed and VS Code, send prompts to and collaborate with each other over a shared A2A and ACP hub.
a2a-bridge runs one daemon in a hub-and-spoke topology that translates between agent protocols, so agents can be installed once and then collaborate across A2A and ACP without copy-pasting context or switching windows manually. Any connected agent can call Claude Code, and Claude Code can delegate tasks to Codex today, with more outbound adapters planned to make the topology fully bidirectional.
The hub speaks multiple protocols, A2A over HTTP and SSE, ACP over stdio JSON-RPC, and MCP channels, translating through one adapter per agent, so adding a new agent means writing a single adapter. A room router with a SQLite task log keeps concurrent sessions isolated from each other and durable across restarts.
First-run setup is a single install command that mints a bearer token, installs the plugin, and starts listening; setting a control-host environment variable lets clients connect from anywhere, so the daemon can run on a server while agents run on separate laptops. It is written in TypeScript and MIT licensed.
