Advanced Agentic Systems Intensive & AI Engineering Intensive

Course code and notebooks for two O'Reilly live training programs covering agentic RAG, MCP, multi-agent orchestration, long-term memory and evaluation of production AI systems.

Advanced Agentic Systems Intensive & AI Engineering Intensive

This repository holds the notebooks for O'Reilly's Advanced Agentic Systems Intensive and AI Engineering Intensive, two three-week live courses that go beyond introductory retrieval-augmented generation and agents. Topics include agentic RAG with multi-hop reasoning and query planning, the Model Context Protocol, multi-agent orchestration, long-term memory, agent harnesses, post-training, and production-grade evaluation.

All notebooks live in a single flat directory, with the week-by-week order for each course defined by a shared schedule; the two courses share files but diverge from week two onward. Setup uses a Python 3.11 virtual environment and an OpenRouter API key that covers the models used across the course, including OpenAI, Anthropic, DeepSeek, Llama and Qwen. A one-time script builds a local corpus from Beehiiv posts, a Wikipedia AI-history slice and HotpotQA samples, producing a Chroma index, a BM25 index and a gold evaluation set.
