Agent Chat UI

Agent Chat UI is a Next.js application that lets a user chat with any LangGraph server exposing a messages key, whether written in Python or TypeScript. It can be run locally after cloning the repository or scaffolding a new app with a single command, or used directly from a hosted deployment without running anything locally.

Connecting to a server asks for its deployment URL, an assistant or graph identifier, and, for a deployed LangGraph server, a LangSmith API key for authentication, with a toggle for LangSmith Agent Builder deployments that sets the authentication scheme automatically; these values can also be set as environment variables to skip the setup form. Message visibility can be controlled by tagging a chat model's configuration to prevent live streaming, or through other configuration for hiding specific message types.

It installs with pnpm and is written in TypeScript under the MIT license.
