# Agent News

Agent News is a free, unauthenticated MCP server that gives an AI agent access to a curated feed of verified, cryptographically signed news articles about the AI-agent and MCP ecosystem, each tagged with a confidence level and a provenance signature.

Articles are sourced and edited rather than generated, each signed with Ed25519 at the source and labeled confirmed, reported or estimated, and the server exposes about twenty MCP tools covering search, question answering, recommendations, events, comments and statistics over that article set. Coverage currently focuses on AI agents, MCP servers, frameworks, platforms and infrastructure, with more topic areas planned.

The server has no authentication and no API key requirement, and connects over Streamable HTTP to any MCP-compatible client, including Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini, Copilot, Cursor and Windsurf, with published configuration snippets for each.

It is written in JavaScript and released under the MIT-0 license.
