Agent Skills

A collection of skills, custom agents, and MCP configurations that give AI coding agents domain knowledge of Azure SDKs and Microsoft AI Foundry.

Agent Skills

Agent Skills is Microsoft's collection of skills, custom agents, agent-instruction templates, and MCP server configurations for AI coding agents working with Azure SDKs and Microsoft AI Foundry. It targets tools such as GitHub Copilot CLI and GitHub Copilot in VS Code, which already have the relevant patterns in their training data but lack the activation context to surface them reliably.

It ships 174 skills covering core, language-agnostic Foundry topics as well as Python, .NET, TypeScript, Java, and Rust, plus installable plugin packages, role-specific custom agents such as backend, frontend, and infrastructure, and pre-configured MCP servers for documentation, GitHub, and browser automation. A command-line installer and a browsable skill explorer let a developer select only the skills relevant to a given project, since loading every skill dilutes an agent's attention.

It is written in TypeScript and released under the MIT license.

    github.com

A deterministic authorization gateway that sits between an AI agent and its tools, tracing where each parameter of a side-effect call came from, and blocking the call or asking a human when the source does not check out.

  • A markdown framework of system rules that restates Isaac Asimov's Four Laws of Robotics as a set of prioritized loss calculations for large-language-model agents to follow, published as a discovery file for agents and crawlers to read.

  • Vitruvius

    github.com

An engineering research agent that runs a discover, read, synthesize, verify and review loop over technical questions, reading sources directly rather than inferring from titles, and publishing its own scored verifier benchmark, weaknesses included.
