Agent Skills Standard

A CLI-distributed library of coding standards and SDLC skills for AI coding agents across many languages and frameworks, syncing versioned rules into tools such as Cursor, Claude Code, Copilot, Gemini and Windsurf.

Agent Skills Standard

Agent Skills Standard packages engineering coding standards into modular, version-controlled skills that AI coding agents can load on demand instead of repeating the same instructions in every prompt. A CLI called ags initializes and syncs 280 ready-made standards covering multiple programming languages and frameworks into the agent tools a team already uses.

The project targets AI tools including Cursor, Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, Gemini, Windsurf, Trae, Kiro and Roo. Recent releases add an OWASP Agentic Skills Top 10 hardening pass, a skill-content lockfile, a verification command, and enforcing hooks with secret and dependency scanning; the latest release also lets the skill validator accept package directories for a diagram-pipeline component.

It is distributed through npm as agent-skills-standard.

  • Provenance gate

    github.com

A deterministic authorization gateway that sits between an AI agent and its tools, tracing where each parameter of a side-effect call came from, and blocking the call or asking a human when the source does not check out.

  • A markdown framework of system rules that restates Isaac Asimov's Four Laws of Robotics as a set of prioritized loss calculations for large-language-model agents to follow, published as a discovery file for agents and crawlers to read.

  • Vitruvius

    github.com

An engineering research agent that runs a discover, read, synthesize, verify and review loop over technical questions, reading sources directly rather than inferring from titles, and publishing its own scored verifier benchmark, weaknesses included.
