Agentic Video Editor

A TypeScript video-editing pipeline that takes raw footage and a creative brief and runs it through a coordinated group of agents for shot selection, trimming, rendering and automated quality review, with an optional web studio interface.

Agentic Video Editor

Agentic Video Editor takes raw footage and a written creative brief and runs it through a pipeline of specialised agents: a Director, a Trim Refiner, an Editor and a Reviewer, orchestrated from YAML manifests. A reviewer-driven retry loop re-renders output until it passes a configurable quality gate.

The command-line interface is the primary, fully supported way to use it. An optional AVE Studio web interface, built with Next.js and a Hono API, provides a non-linear editor shell with a timeline, monitors, an inspector and live job streaming, backed by an optional Redis layer for job snapshots and caching.

It is built as a TypeScript monorepo with shared infrastructure for configuration, logging, errors and schemas, indexes footage with ffprobe, and calls Google's Gemini models for its AI steps. It requires Node.js 20 or newer, ffmpeg on the path, and a Google AI API key.
