# AgentScope Java

A production-ready Java framework for building distributed, enterprise-grade AI agents, with an event system, tool-call permission gating, middleware, sandboxed workspaces and multi-agent orchestration.

AgentScope Java provides abstractions for long-running, safely controlled agent execution as model capability rises. A unified event stream carries 31 typed events for real-time frontend rendering and human-in-the-loop review, and a permission system gates tool calls as allow, require-approval, or deny.

AOP-style middleware hooks extend the reasoning-acting loop, and a workspace/sandbox layer runs tools in isolated environments: local, Docker, Kubernetes, or a cloud sandbox. Multiple subagent patterns are defined with `agent_spawn` and `agent_send` and real-time event forwarding, and distributed deployment gives true cross-replica session and memory recovery backed by Redis, MySQL, PostgreSQL, OSS or COS.
