agentsync

agentsync keeps one source of truth for the instruction files that AI coding agents read: AGENTS.md for Codex, CLAUDE.md for Claude Code, .cursorrules for Cursor, and Copilot's instructions file, among others. It converts between these formats or generates a new AGENTS.md from a short specification, using the same zero-dependency engine in both its command-line tool and its browser playground.

A setup command scans a project, writes an AGENTS.md and a configuration file, runs the first sync, and installs a git pre-commit hook so future commits keep every rule file synchronized; only AGENTS.md then needs editing by hand. An auto mode instead tracks a snapshot of every rule file and regenerates the others from whichever one was last changed, so a developer can keep editing the file their own tool prefers.

It installs from npm or runs directly from a git clone, and is MIT licensed.

  • Provenance gate

    github.com

A deterministic authorization gateway that sits between an AI agent and its tools, tracing where each parameter of a side-effect call came from, and blocking the call or asking a human when the source does not check out.

  • A markdown framework of system rules that restates Isaac Asimov's Four Laws of Robotics as a set of prioritized loss calculations for large-language-model agents to follow, published as a discovery file for agents and crawlers to read.

  • Vitruvius

    github.com

An engineering research agent that runs a discover, read, synthesize, verify and review loop over technical questions, reading sources directly rather than inferring from titles, and publishing its own scored verifier benchmark, weaknesses included.
