AI Engineering Lab

A free, self-paced 24-week AI engineering course that takes a beginner from Python through machine learning, LLM internals, RAG, fine-tuning, agents and MCP, and cloud AI platforms, using one continuous case study.

AI Engineering Lab

AI Engineering Lab is a free, self-paced training program that takes a beginner from Python to production-grade AI systems over 24 weeks, developed by Zorost Intelligence AI Lab.

It covers machine learning and deep learning, large language model internals, prompt and context engineering, retrieval-augmented generation with vector search, quantization, fine-tuning with LoRA and DPO, evaluation harnesses, coding-agent harnesses, AI agents and the Model Context Protocol, and Azure AI Foundry, Google Vertex AI, AWS Bedrock and a governed Databricks lakehouse.

Each week pairs one concept with a runnable Python, SQL or PySpark notebook, building on one continuous fictional freight-company case study, and from week three every exercise is scored with a metric and an error note. It runs locally or on a free cloud notebook, needs no GPU for the first eight weeks, no prior Python or paid API key, and is MIT licensed with no signup required.

Conway's Game of Life implemented to run directly from a 512-byte x86 boot sector in assembly, using VGA memory itself as the simulation grid.

  • A technical blog post deriving the Y combinator as a composition of combinator birds in an array language, and examining how eager evaluation changes fixed-point recursion compared with the usual lazy telling.

  • System Design Atlas

    atlas-sysdes.vercel.app

A free reference of worked system design problems with interactive architecture diagrams, covering ranked designs such as a feed, a chat app, a URL shortener, and a rate limiter, plus pages on the technologies behind them.
