AI-History

A 66-chapter narrative walk through ninety years of AI history, from Turing in 1936 to Blackwell in 2025, written for readers with no technical background as much as for engineers.

AI-History

AI-History is a 66-chapter narrative walk through ninety years of the history of AI, organized into eight eras from 1936 to 2025. Each chapter is built around a paper or milestone and a custom diagram, aimed at a reader with no background in the field as much as a seasoned engineer who never had time to look back.

The eras run from early machines and the first artificial neuron through the birth of AI, symbolic AI, two AI winters, the statistical era, and the deep-learning and generative eras up through recent large language models. It is MIT licensed.
