ai-ppt-generator

A full-stack tutorial project that turns a topic, a block of text, or an uploaded document into an editable slide outline, then generates and exports a native, still-editable PowerPoint file.

ai-ppt-generator

This project generates a presentation from a topic, a pasted block of text, or an uploaded PDF, Word, Markdown or plain-text document, first producing an editable outline of titles, page goals and talking points that can be reordered, added to or removed before any slide is generated.

Each page then generates as an independent, concurrently run task through an ARQ worker queue backed by Redis, with progress pushed to the browser over Server-Sent Events so finished pages preview immediately and failed pages can be retried individually. A structured online editor lets you adjust text, theme, layout and images afterward, and an export step checks text length, structure and page boundaries before building native, still-editable text boxes, tables, charts and images with python-pptx, rather than producing a slide that is really an embedded screenshot.

The backend is FastAPI, LangChain and LangGraph in Python; the frontend is React. It is presented as a full tutorial project alongside the runnable code.
