AI SDK

AI SDK is a provider-agnostic TypeScript toolkit for building AI-powered applications and agents. It targets popular UI frameworks including Next.js, React, Svelte, Vue and Angular, as well as Node.js runtimes, and gives developers functions for generating plain text, structured data, and tool-using agents.

By default it routes model calls through the Vercel AI Gateway, so a single model string can reach providers such as OpenAI, Anthropic and Google without installing their SDKs; each provider's own package can also be installed and used directly instead. A ToolLoopAgent class builds agents around tools such as image generation.

An AI SDK UI module supplies framework-agnostic hooks for building chatbots and generative interfaces in Next.js, React, Svelte and Vue applications.

  • local-coder

    github.com

Builds a local coding-agent team on top of Ollama and OpenCode by detecting the machine's hardware, recommending models for seven specialist roles, and testing whether each assigned model can actually use tools, edit a repository and pass verification.
