AIOS

An AI Agent Operating System that embeds a large language model into a kernel layer handling scheduling, memory, storage, and tool management for LLM agents.

AIOS

AIOS is split into an AIOS kernel, which acts as an abstraction layer over the operating system kernel to manage the LLM, memory, storage, and tool resources that agents need, and an AIOS SDK, named Cerebrum, through which agent developers build and run applications against that kernel. It addresses recurring problems in deploying LLM-based agents, such as scheduling, context switching, memory management, and coordinating calls to tools, aiming toward a broader agent ecosystem built on a shared kernel rather than each agent framework reimplementing these concerns.

For computer-use agents specifically, the kernel's Tool Manager is extended with a VM controller and an MCP server, creating a sandboxed environment that maps agent intentions to actual computer operations. It provides both a web UI and a terminal UI, and its foundational paper was accepted at COLM 2025.

It is written in Python.

    recurse.run

A serverless harness that lets a coding agent design, test, and deploy its own specialist sub-agents as tools, MCP servers, or bots, defined by a schema-validated manifest.

  • ProofForge

    shulgin.is-a.dev

An AI-agent pipeline that decomposes a mathematics problem, proves each piece, and formalizes the result in Lean 4 and Mathlib until the Lean kernel accepts it, with six of its proofs already merged into Google DeepMind's formal-conjectures repository.

  • local-coder

    github.com

Builds a local coding-agent team on top of Ollama and OpenCode by detecting the machine's hardware, recommending models for seven specialist roles, and testing whether each assigned model can actually use tools, edit a repository and pass verification.
