# Animus

A CLI that runs multiple AI coding agents as a scheduled, workflow-driven engineering team, installing a daemon and a set of provider, subject, workflow and queue plugins alongside YAML-defined workflows.

Animus installs a CLI and daemon that orchestrate AI coding agents such as Claude Code, Codex and OpenCode across many projects at once, driven by YAML workflow definitions rather than one-off manual sessions. Installation runs a shell script, then a plugin command that pulls in provider, subject, workflow-runner and queue plugins the daemon needs, and a companion animus-skills repository that adds slash commands such as animus-setup, animus-workflow-authoring and animus-troubleshooting to the coding agent's own configuration file.

From a project root, an init command scaffolds a local configuration directory, installs packs, and can start the daemon so it schedules and runs workflows unattended. The installer currently targets macOS; Linux and Windows users build from source or use a release archive.
