# Apollo iOS Codegen

The GraphQL code generation package for the Apollo iOS library, producing typed Swift code from GraphQL operations, used either through the Apollo iOS CLI or scripted directly for custom build pipelines.

Apollo iOS Codegen generates Swift code for GraphQL operations used with the Apollo iOS client library. Most users reach it indirectly through the codegen CLI bundled with the Apollo iOS package; this separate apollo-ios-codegen package is for projects that want to script their code generation directly in Swift instead, since the generator is no longer bundled inside apollo-ios itself.

Releases of this package track the releases of the main apollo-ios repository, with a shared changelog documenting changes across both. Issues, bugs and feature requests are filed against the main apollo-ios repository rather than here.

Apollo also maintains Apollo Client for the web, Apollo Kotlin, Apollo Server, and a hosted Studio platform for tracking GraphQL schemas and composing a federated graph from multiple subgraphs.
