ArcReel

A self-hosted, open-source AI video production workspace that turns a novel, finished script or product material into characters, storyboards, video clips and an editable draft.

ArcReel

ArcReel organizes content analysis, asset management, storyboarding, media generation, cost tracking and export into a reviewable, resumable production pipeline. Reused reference images keep characters and scenes visually consistent across shots, key stages can be confirmed, an individual asset can be redone, and earlier versions can be rolled back.

A finished project can be rendered directly or exported as a draft for a Chinese video-editing app (Jianying) to continue adjusting subtitles, dubbing, pacing and transitions; compatibility with CapCut is unverified. Text, image, video and TTS providers and their costs are configured centrally, with spend visible before and after generation.

It deploys with Docker Compose, storing data in SQLite or PostgreSQL, is built on the Claude Agent SDK using ffmpeg, is written in Python, and is licensed under AGPL-3.0.
