# ASCEND

A four-layer DevSecOps framework that wires automated security scanning into CI/CD pipelines as a build gate, alongside multi-track deployment and AI-assisted merge-conflict resolution.

ASCEND, short for Automated Scanning, Compliance Enforcement, and Deployment, integrates security scanning directly into CI/CD pipelines as an active build gate rather than a passive reporting step. It provides reference configurations for GitHub Actions, GitLab CI/CD, Jenkins, and Azure DevOps, and a multi-track deployment layer supporting blue-green, canary, and rolling strategies with automated quality gates at each promotion boundary.

Its scanning layer integrates tools including SonarQube, Semgrep, CodeQL, Snyk, Trivy, OWASP ZAP, Checkov, and TruffleHog behind formal quality-gate definitions. An optional AI-powered synchronization layer uses abstract-syntax-tree differencing, a machine-learning conflict classifier, and LLM-based resolution with property-based verification to reconcile code changes after deployment.

Adopting it means copying a platform's reference pipeline configuration into a project's CI files and configuring credentials for the chosen scanning tools; the AI synchronization layer installs separately as a Python package. It is written in Python.
