Avernet
An open-source infrastructure layer for running persistent, coordinated multi-agent systems at organizational scale, handling agent identity, execution, coordination and shared context.
Avernet provides infrastructure for building and operating persistent, coordinated, heterogeneous multi-agent systems across applications, runtimes and human-agent workflows. It targets teams that need to run multiple agents together rather than isolated single-agent demos, connect different runtimes, plugins and bot platforms, and support shared context and governed execution.
Its capability areas include a trusted core for identity, permissions, security and audit; execution infrastructure for heterogeneous agent engines and containerized runtimes; an agent coordination network for discovery, team formation and routing; and shared intelligence tools such as bot diagnosis and repeatable evaluation through its AgentEvolve component. Workflow orchestration is available through a separate TaskGuard component.
Avernet is used internally at Ant Group for production multi-agent deployments; the project notes that public open-source coverage of each component varies and is being released incrementally.
