# Awesome DESIGN.md

A curated collection of DESIGN.md files, plain-text design-system documents that describe a real website's visual language for AI coding agents to read when generating a matching interface.

Awesome DESIGN.md is a curated collection of DESIGN.md files extracted from real websites. A DESIGN.md is a plain Markdown file that documents a site's design system, including its tokens, patterns and rules, so that an AI coding agent can read it and generate a user interface that matches the site's look.

Dropping a DESIGN.md into a project lets any AI coding agent, or Google Stitch, understand how the interface should look without a Figma export or a JSON schema. The repository's collection groups DESIGN.md files by category, such as AI and LLM platforms and developer tools and IDEs, each with a short description of its visual style.

The project also accepts requests to analyze a specific website and produce a new DESIGN.md file. It is MIT licensed.
