A daily-checked catalog of more than 10,000 open-source LLM, agent and local-inference repositories, sorted by how quickly each one is gaining attention rather than by total popularity.

Awesome Local LLMs is a curated, continuously updated list of open-source projects for building with large language models, covering model weights, training code, inference runtimes, agent frameworks, end-user applications, and related tutorials and lists.

Each listed repository is checked daily for growth metrics, forks, contributors, open issues, language, license, creation date and time since the last commit. A companion website holds the full catalog of more than 11,000 repositories with search, growth-based sorting, and filters by category, subcategory, language and license, while the README itself mixes established projects with ones gaining attention that week and is regenerated weekly.

Repositories are organized into eight categories: AI engineering, applications, infrastructure, model development, models, lists, tutorials and miscellaneous, each tagged with subcategories and cross-cutting keywords such as RAG, MCP or context engineering.
