Bitterbot

A local-first personal AI agent that runs on a user's own devices, keeps a long-term memory of their life, browses the web, runs code, and talks over channels such as WhatsApp, then consolidates what it learned into reusable skills while the user is away.

Bitterbot

Bitterbot is a personal AI agent designed to keep state and remember a user across sessions, rather than resetting each time a terminal is closed. It runs on the user's own devices, browsing the web, running code and communicating over channels such as WhatsApp, and keeps a long-term memory of what it has done.

While idle, it runs a background process that tidies and consolidates its memory, distills the skills that provably worked into reusable know-how, and prepares for likely future requests, judging its own results by whether the resulting skills actually get used. Proven skills can then be packaged and traded with other agents on a peer-to-peer marketplace for a stablecoin.

It is a Node.js and TypeScript application, set up through an onboarding wizard that configures model access, memory embeddings, web search, communication channels and a wallet, then starts a local gateway and control UI reachable in a browser.

    recurse.run

A serverless harness that lets a coding agent design, test, and deploy its own specialist sub-agents as tools, MCP servers, or bots, defined by a schema-validated manifest.

  • ProofForge

    shulgin.is-a.dev

An AI-agent pipeline that decomposes a mathematics problem, proves each piece, and formalizes the result in Lean 4 and Mathlib until the Lean kernel accepts it, with six of its proofs already merged into Google DeepMind's formal-conjectures repository.

  • local-coder

    github.com

Builds a local coding-agent team on top of Ollama and OpenCode by detecting the machine's hardware, recommending models for seven specialist roles, and testing whether each assigned model can actually use tools, edit a repository and pass verification.
