Build AI Agents From Scratch with Python

A course and code repository that teaches how to build autonomous AI agents from scratch in Python using ReAct prompting, without relying on third-party agent libraries.

Build AI Agents From Scratch with Python

This repository is the companion code for a course called Build AI Agents From Scratch with Python. It teaches how to build autonomous AI agents using Python and ReAct prompting, starting from what an AI agent is and building up to agents that respond to user queries and call external data and APIs.

The course covers ReAct prompting as the core technique for letting a large language model take actionable steps, building agents without third-party agent frameworks, and integrating external data and APIs, with step-by-step instructions, code samples and hands-on projects. A companion free book, referenced in the repository, expands on the same ideas with prompts for shipping applications with AI.
