cavekit
A frozen but still-working, compressed spec-driven-development plugin for Claude Code that runs one durable spec file through a grill, spec, research, review and build loop with no sub-agents.
cavekit is a spec-driven development plugin for Claude Code built around one durable SPEC.md file at the repository root, which survives context resets and acts as the agent's long-term memory, plus a small set of slash commands rather than a swarm of sub-agents. /ck:spec creates or amends the spec and is its sole mutator, /ck:build plans and executes against it, naming which test proves each invariant and recording a failure back into the spec, and /ck:check is a read-only drift report against the spec's invariants.
Additional commands are used only when a change earns the ceremony: /ck:grill turns a fuzzy idea into a sharp goal and constraints before writing a spec, /ck:research gathers cited external knowledge, /ck:review is an adversarial pre-build review ending in a go/no-go gate, and /ck:deepen is a scoped design pass on one module.
The project is frozen as of August 2026; active development continues in a successor project. It installs with npx skills add and is released under the MIT license.
