ChatHermes

An open-source, self-hosted, multi-tenant SaaS boilerplate built on Nous Research's Hermes Agent, providing authentication, billing, a dedicated agent per paying user, and 14 working chat-time tools out of the box.

ChatHermes

ChatHermes provisions a dedicated Hermes Agent instance for each paying user and runs a shared Hermes Agent proxy for free users, packaged as a complete multi-tenant platform rather than a partial product. It includes magic-link authentication, Stripe subscriptions and credit packs, persistent memory, a Telegram connector, a REST API with OpenAPI, outbound webhooks and an admin dashboard.

Fourteen chat-time tools are included, covering web search with a five-tier fallback, page browsing and URL fetching, GitHub repository lookup, news search, weather, Wikipedia, memory save and recall, Telegram sending, running JavaScript, image generation, image analysis through a vision model, and subagent dispatch to other models.

Chat supports multiple models, including several Hermes releases, Claude Sonnet, GPT-5 and Gemini. The stack runs on one SQLite file and three background processes, needing no PostgreSQL, Redis or Kafka, and installs with two scripts; it is distributed under the ChatHermes Open Source License, AGPL plus attribution.
