Chops

Chops is a macOS app for discovering, organizing and editing coding-agent skills and agents across multiple tools, including Claude Code, Cursor, Codex, Windsurf, Copilot, Aider and Amp. It scans each tool's own skill and agent directories, shows both in one place, and includes a built-in monospaced editor with frontmatter parsing, collections for organizing skills without touching the original files, real-time file watching for instant updates, and full-text search across name, description and content.

It can create new skills and agents with the correct boilerplate for a given tool, connect to remote servers running other agent layouts to discover and install their skills, and browse and install community skills from a skills registry. Copilot and Aider are supported only at the project level, since they have no global skill path.

It requires macOS 15 or later and is built with SwiftUI, using Sparkle for auto-updates.

A deterministic authorization gateway that sits between an AI agent and its tools, tracing where each parameter of a side-effect call came from, and blocking the call or asking a human when the source does not check out.

  • A markdown framework of system rules that restates Isaac Asimov's Four Laws of Robotics as a set of prioritized loss calculations for large-language-model agents to follow, published as a discovery file for agents and crawlers to read.

  • Vitruvius

    github.com

An engineering research agent that runs a discover, read, synthesize, verify and review loop over technical questions, reading sources directly rather than inferring from titles, and publishing its own scored verifier benchmark, weaknesses included.
