Claude Cookbooks
Anthropic's collection of runnable notebooks and copyable code examples for building with the Claude API, covering classification, retrieval-augmented generation, tool use, vision and evaluation.
Capability recipes cover text and data classification, augmenting responses with outside knowledge, and summarization; tool-use recipes build a customer-service agent, a calculator integration and natural-language SQL querying; third-party integration recipes connect Claude to vector databases such as Pinecone, to Wikipedia and web pages as retrieval sources, and to Voyage AI embeddings.
Multimodal recipes cover reading images (getting started, best practices, charts and forms) and generating images by pairing Claude with Stable Diffusion. Advanced recipes cover using Haiku as a sub-agent under Opus, uploading PDFs as text, automated prompt evaluation, JSON-mode output, a content-moderation filter, prompt caching, and a cost-optimization checklist that measures an agent's pass rate against its cost per task.
