Codex FFmpeg is the support repository and release mirror for the FFmpeg Windows builds published at gyan.dev/ffmpeg. It hosts a copy of the build archives so they can be downloaded from GitHub Releases in addition to the main site.
It also publishes small plain-text files that give the latest git and release version numbers, the tools version, and the build update dates, so a script can check for new builds without parsing a web page. Matching SHA-256 hash files are published for each archive type so downloads can be verified.
A resources section documents the codecs included in the FFmpeg builds it mirrors.
