# Codex Pro Max

A Tauri desktop launcher for the Codex CLI that bundles a task-board service, injects a taskboard panel into Codex's own interface, manages Codex configuration files, and installs an MCP runtime with one click.

Codex Pro Max is a desktop GUI, built with Tauri, that wraps the Codex command-line coding agent. It starts and stops a bundled Node-based taskboard service with dashboard, issue, list and Gantt views, launches Codex on a dedicated Chrome DevTools Protocol port, and injects the taskboard panel directly into Codex's interface on macOS and Windows Store builds.

It manages configuration under the user's Codex config directory, including schema-driven locking and drift recovery for config files and a visual editor for the active model, model providers and presets. A one-click installer adds a bundled taskboard-management skill to Codex as a symlink, and another integrates the FastCtx MCP runtime through the fastctx CLI. The app supports light, dark and system themes with self-hosted fonts, a command palette, self-updating through a built-in Tauri updater, and desktop-native behavior such as launch at login and minimize to tray.

Installers are published for macOS, Windows and Linux, and the project was previously named Dashi Taskboard Launcher. It is MIT licensed.
