Codex Taskboard

A local-first issue board that runs in a browser or embeds inside Codex, sharing one HTTP API between its React interface and a bundled Codex skill that manages issues from the command line.

Codex Taskboard

Codex Taskboard is a local-first issue board that runs in a browser and can be embedded in Codex, either through a standalone Chrome DevTools Protocol launcher or an injection script. The same HTTP API backs both its React user interface and a taskctl command-line tool, storing data in a local SQLite database.

Issues can be created and managed from taskctl, for example creating a project or an issue with a title, status, priority and labels, and a bundled Codex skill teaches Codex to inspect an issue, move it through in-progress and in-review states with optimistic version checks, and only mark it done once the user explicitly confirms acceptance. Cloud deployments route through a local loopback companion service that handles authentication and path mapping.

It is written in JavaScript and released under the Apache 2.0 license, with optional desktop app builds for macOS and Windows.

A deterministic authorization gateway that sits between an AI agent and its tools, tracing where each parameter of a side-effect call came from, and blocking the call or asking a human when the source does not check out.

  • A markdown framework of system rules that restates Isaac Asimov's Four Laws of Robotics as a set of prioritized loss calculations for large-language-model agents to follow, published as a discovery file for agents and crawlers to read.

  • Vitruvius

    github.com

An engineering research agent that runs a discover, read, synthesize, verify and review loop over technical questions, reading sources directly rather than inferring from titles, and publishing its own scored verifier benchmark, weaknesses included.
