# coding-agent-search (cass)

A unified terminal UI and CLI that indexes and searches local session history from more than two dozen coding agents and AI chat tools in one searchable timeline.

coding-agent-search (cass) is a unified, high-performance terminal UI and CLI that indexes and searches a developer's local coding-agent session history across more than two dozen providers, including Codex, Claude Code, Gemini CLI, Cline, OpenCode, Cursor, ChatGPT, Aider, GitHub Copilot Chat, and several others, aggregating them into a single searchable timeline.

It installs through a shell or PowerShell script, or through Homebrew or Scoop, and is designed to also be driven directly by an agent: a `--robot` or `--json` mode returns structured, bounded output instead of launching the interactive TUI, with explicit timeout and max-tokens limits, a `budget.timed_out` flag on truncated results, and separate triage/health/status commands for diagnosing whether the index itself needs maintenance rather than treating an empty result as proof that no matching history exists.

It is written in Rust; its license is not asserted in its repository metadata.
