# Dart MCP Server

The official Model Context Protocol server for Dart, an AI-powered project management tool, exposing prompts, resources and tools so an MCP client such as Claude Code or Cursor can create, list, update and comment on tasks and documents.

Dart MCP Server is the official Model Context Protocol server for Dart, a project management product. It exposes prompts such as creating a task or document and summarizing tasks, resource templates for a user's space configuration and for individual tasks and documents, and tools covering task management (listing, creating, retrieving, updating, deleting and commenting on tasks) and document management (listing, creating, retrieving, updating and deleting documents).

Each tool validates its input and supports filtering by fields such as assignee, status, dartboard, priority and due date, so an AI assistant can perform common Dart actions without needing to understand the underlying API. It sets up in an MCP client's settings file, with documented steps for Claude Desktop, Claude Code, Cursor, Cline and Windsurf, and can also run through Docker.

The README notes that this locally run server is deprecated in favor of a simplified, hosted Dart MCP server.
