# deepclaude

A small CLI wrapper that runs Claude Code's agent loop against DeepSeek V4 Pro, OpenRouter, or any other Anthropic-compatible API, by setting environment variables for the session and restoring the prior configuration on exit.

deepclaude keeps Claude Code's file editing, bash execution and subagent-spawning agent loop, but swaps which model answers by pointing Claude Code's environment variables, including its base URL, auth token, and per-tier model names, at a different backend for the duration of a session, then restores the previous settings on exit.

It ships install scripts for Windows, macOS and Linux and supports several backends, including DeepSeek V4 Pro and OpenRouter, each with its own per-token pricing, alongside any other Anthropic Messages API-compatible endpoint such as Fireworks AI.

It is a small JavaScript and shell-script tool, released under the MIT license.
