DeepSeek Balance Whale Widget

A floating widget for the DeepSeek Harness interface that displays a small whale character showing live DeepSeek API balance, today's spend and each conversation turn's token cost.

DeepSeek Balance Whale Widget

DeepSeek Balance Whale Widget is a persistent floating widget for a corner of the DeepSeek Harness (DSH) web interface, showing a small whale character alongside the DeepSeek API balance, today's usage, and the cost of each conversation turn. It refreshes the balance automatically every 60 seconds or on click, animates balance changes, and reads either a configured API key or the user's own logged-in DSH account balance when no key is set.

Spending is tracked purely from observed balance changes, without needing any session token: a balance drop accumulates as spend, a balance increase is recorded separately as a top-up so it does not cancel out prior spend, and per-turn costs are computed from each model's actual reported input, cache, output and reasoning token usage. The widget can be dragged and snapped to any edge of the screen, mirrors horizontally when snapped to the left, and its popup content is fully customizable.

It installs as a standard DSH bundle plugin, and a separate branch adapts it for the Codex desktop application. It is written in JavaScript and released under the MIT license.
