# Deepseek-Go

A Go client library for the DeepSeek platform, providing streaming chat completions, thinking-mode reasoning, tool calling, fill-in-the-middle completion, structured JSON output, and an Anthropic-compatible endpoint.

Deepseek-Go is a type-safe Go API client for DeepSeek's V4 models. Its chat-completion support includes streaming and token usage tracking, an Anthropic-compatible client for content blocks, tool use and streaming, configurable chain-of-thought thinking mode with a selectable reasoning effort, function calling in standard and strict modes, fill-in-the-middle completions for code generation, and JSON output with schema extraction through a ResponseFormat type.

It also reaches external OpenAI-compatible providers such as OpenRouter, Azure and Ollama, offers account balance and model-listing calls, and includes client-side token estimation for both Chinese and English text. The current model, deepseek-v4-flash, supports a 1M-token context and up to 384K output tokens; the older deepseek-chat alias is deprecated.
