DeepSeek Harness Handbook

A community-maintained field guide to running, debugging, and extending DeepSeek Harness, covering its runtime, plugins, MCP and ACP integration, sandboxing, and evaluation, with reviewed translations into several languages.

DeepSeek Harness Handbook

This handbook documents DeepSeek Harness, an agent runtime, across its full operating surface: model routing, tools, approval flows, sandboxing, durable sessions, plugins, MCP and ACP protocol support, and failure recovery, rather than just listing its commands. It offers separate entry points depending on whether a reader wants to run it, evaluate it against a scorecard, or debug and extend it, and marks pages that are sensitive to a specific release with the source revision they were checked against.

It aggregates more than 170 canonical guides and 200 localized documents, plus a curated map of external resources covering checkpoint and rewind behavior, side sessions, plugin discovery, database analysis, and provider fallback, each framed as a discovery lead rather than an endorsement; the handbook advises inspecting permissions, credentials, and rollback paths before installing any linked project.

The handbook is community-maintained and independent of DeepSeek AI, and is also cross-listed in a companion agent-runtime resource list.
