ds-ai-coding-skills

ds-ai-coding-skills is a collection of router documents and skills for data scientists using AI coding assistants. The same rules are provided through CLAUDE.md for Claude Code and AGENTS.md for GitHub Copilot and Codex, kept identical below a shared "Hard Rules" section and checked in continuous integration with a sync script.

Detailed skills are shared across tools, with Codex reading them through a symlink, covering Python project operations, safe data handling, SQL analysis and review, Python style, Polars dataframe work, visualization, file paths and I/O, notebook workflows, and statistical or machine-learning review. A separate family of diagnostics skills defines which chart and value a method must always produce together, so a regression is not reported without also showing its residuals.

Setup requires Python 3.11 and the uv tool, and the project is run with a single sync command.

  • Provenance gate

    github.com

A deterministic authorization gateway that sits between an AI agent and its tools, tracing where each parameter of a side-effect call came from, and blocking the call or asking a human when the source does not check out.

  • A markdown framework of system rules that restates Isaac Asimov's Four Laws of Robotics as a set of prioritized loss calculations for large-language-model agents to follow, published as a discovery file for agents and crawlers to read.

  • Vitruvius

    github.com

An engineering research agent that runs a discover, read, synthesize, verify and review loop over technical questions, reading sources directly rather than inferring from titles, and publishing its own scored verifier benchmark, weaknesses included.
