# ego lite

A browser built for a person and their AI agents to use side by side, running agent browser tasks in isolated Spaces inside the same browser instead of a separate, bridged instance, so the agent can reach the user's real logins without taking over the browser.

ego lite is a browser designed to be shared by a person and their AI agents at the same time. Agents run their browser tasks inside isolated Spaces within the same browser while the user keeps browsing in their own space, so an agent never takes control away from the person using the browser.

Unlike tools that bridge an agent to a separate browser instance, which can lose browser data, disconnect, or compete with the user for control, ego lite is one browser built for both from the start, with no extra setup needed to reach a user's real logins and tabs. On first launch it can migrate existing Chrome data, including logins, cookies, extensions and bookmarks.

An agent drives it through the ego-browser skill, installed as a macOS app or through a package manager command, and controls the browser by reading a structured text snapshot of a page and acting on it. It currently runs on macOS, with a Windows beta and Linux support planned.
