# Emdash

A desktop app for running multiple AI coding agents in parallel, each in its own Git worktree, so a developer can compare diffs across agents and merge the result that works.

Emdash is a desktop app for running AI coding agents such as Claude Code, Codex, OpenCode and Amp in parallel, on local projects or on remote machines over SSH/SFTP. Each task runs in its own Git worktree and branch, so several fixes or features can be explored at once before reviewing diffs, creating pull requests, and merging from one place.

It can send issues and tickets from Linear, GitHub, Jira, GitLab, Asana, Featurebase, Monday.com, Forgejo or Plain into an agent, and it detects installed provider CLIs automatically, including Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, OpenCode, Amp, Devin, Qwen Code, Droid and GitHub Copilot. For agents with lifecycle-hook support it installs marker-tagged entries in the agent's own config to track status and resumable sessions.

It is local-first, storing app state in a local SQLite database and never sending code or chats to its own servers; it is written in TypeScript and licensed under Apache-2.0.
