Enterprise Windows Infrastructure & Security

A self-paced, sixteen-week course that takes a learner from a first Windows Server logon through building, attacking and hardening a full enterprise Windows environment on a lab domain.

Enterprise Windows Infrastructure & Security

The course is organized as twenty modules of hands-on labs built around a reference corp.local domain, covering the Windows command line and PowerShell, virtualization and lab setup, and networking fundamentals before moving into core enterprise services: Active Directory Domain Services, Group Policy, DNS and DHCP, then file services and DFS, IIS web hosting, FTP, proxy and remote access or VPN. It closes with server management, backup and disaster recovery, monitoring and logging, and a dedicated security and purple-team practice module.

Material is delivered as an Obsidian-based knowledge base published as GitHub-flavored Markdown, with each module built as its own folder containing a README hub and deep-dive notes with copy-ready commands and configuration; it is meant to be read in order but is cross-linked for later reference use.

It targets Windows Server 2019 through 2025 and Windows 10 and 11, and is licensed under CC-BY-4.0.
