Evey's Hermes Plugins extends hermes-agent, an autonomous agent runtime, with 23 plugins grouped into four areas. Autonomy and decision-making plugins add core tools for autonomous deciding, planning and reflecting, a three-model debate mechanism for hard decisions, and model routing with automatic task-type detection, retries and a fallback chain that keeps sensitive data local.
Observability and telemetry plugins add structured logging of every tool call and error with a self-inspection query tool, a single status call that returns delegation, messaging, cost, scheduling and goal state together, a real-time event stream over MQTT, and budget enforcement that tracks daily and per-task costs against configured limits. Quality and safety plugins add a self-critique loop before sending output, regex- and model-based hallucination detection, dual-layer prompt-injection screening for incoming email, sandboxed code execution with resource limits, and session lifecycle cleanup.
Learning and memory plugins add experiential learning from past interactions, importance-scored and decaying adaptive memory, and nightly memory consolidation into a Markdown file and a vector database. Installing it copies the plugin files into hermes-agent's plugin directory and restarts the agent.
