Finit

Finit is an init system for Linux designed for small and embedded systems, though it also runs on desktop and server machines. It replaces PID 1 and supervises services, runlevels, and the boot process, aiming for a small footprint and simple configuration compared with systemd or SysV init.

It ships with example install scripts and working examples for Buildroot-based embedded Linux, Debian, Alpine, and Void Linux, and its documentation covers configuration and use in detail.

It is written in C and distributed under the MIT license.

A VRAM-aware GPU job scheduler for a single machine: declare how much memory each shell command needs, and it places jobs the moment a GPU has room and reports when a guess was wrong.
