Fusio

A self-hosted, open-source API management platform that turns databases, microservices, and custom business logic into REST APIs and AI agent tools, with a developer portal and SDK generation.

Fusio

Fusio is a self-hosted backend platform and API gateway that exposes legacy SQL and NoSQL databases as REST APIs, routes and load-balances traffic between distributed microservices, and lets a team build custom backend logic as reusable actions in PHP or JavaScript. That same logic can be exposed as tools for autonomous AI agents through native Model Context Protocol support.

It includes a self-service developer portal with documentation, testing tools, and API keys for third-party developers, automatic client SDK generation for major programming languages, subscription plans and quotas for turning an API into a monetized product, and usage and error analytics. It can be tried locally with Docker Compose or installed manually by configuring a database connection.

It is written in PHP and released under the Apache-2.0 license.
