GithubStarsManager

An AI-assisted desktop app that syncs a user's starred GitHub repositories, automatically summarizes and categorizes them, and adds semantic search, release tracking and fork and gist management.

GithubStarsManager

GithubStarsManager syncs every repository a user has starred on GitHub, then uses AI to write summaries, tags and categories for them in bulk, with pause and resume support and categories that can be locked so the AI never overwrites them. It adds natural-language, vector-based search over repository descriptions or full READMEs, using Cloudflare Vectorize with optional AI reranking and a keyword fallback, plus a one-click 'find similar repositories' feature that builds a semantic neighborhood around any starred entry.

A repository question-and-answer assistant answers focused questions about a single repository, pinned to a specific commit and showing the read-only evidence behind each answer, without indexing the whole codebase. Release tracking watches subscribed repositories for new versions in one timeline, with asset filtering by platform and file type and one-click downloads. It also includes an MCP server so agents such as Claude Code or Cursor can read and search a user's AI-enriched starred repositories, fork synchronization with GitHub Actions, gist browsing and editing, multiple themes, an HTTP or SOCKS5 proxy, and WebDAV backup.

It is written in TypeScript as an Electron desktop application and licensed under MIT.
