GOD
A real-time control room for observing and steering simulated societies of language-model agents, letting a user pause time, question a resident, change what happens next, and replay or export a run.
GOD (Govern, Observe, Direct) is a real-time control room for inspecting language-agent societies, built for researchers who want to intervene in a running multi-agent simulation rather than only watch it play out. From one screen, a user can pause, scrub, fast-forward, or auto-play a live simulation step, ask one resident, a group, or the whole town a question mid-run, inject instructions and observe how agents respond, and reset a stale run to a freshly re-seeded world.
A no-code setup wizard configures the model, scenario, and agents from the browser, and a portable ExperimentPack format lets a full experiment, map, or agent pack be exported and re-run by someone else; a public site hosts curated replays, map packs, and downloadable experiments with no install or API key needed. The project explicitly frames itself as a tool for inspecting agent societies, not for claiming they are socially realistic.
It is written in Python and released under the Apache-2.0 license, and is described in a paper accepted to EMNLP 2026.
