# Google Drive MCP Server

A self-hosted MCP server that connects Claude Desktop and other MCP clients to Google Drive, Docs, Sheets, Slides, and Calendar, with 130 tools for file management, rich document editing, sharing, and multi-step workflows under the caller's own Google credentials.

This server exposes deep, Drive-first workflows rather than trying to cover the entire Google Workspace API surface: file and shared-drive management, permissions and revisions, rich document editing, spreadsheet formatting, slide authoring, and calendar events, all through 130 tools plus an optional resource interface for direct reading and discovery.

It supports three deployment modes: stdio for a personal desktop client with local OAuth, streamable HTTP for a hosted integration, or an OAuth-protected team mode for a shared service, and local OAuth can manage multiple Google accounts with per-tool account selection, alongside support for service accounts and externally managed OAuth tokens. Credentials and tokens stay in the environment where the server runs.

Setup creates a Google Cloud OAuth client, enables the relevant Workspace APIs, and authenticates once through a CLI command that stores tokens locally; the server then connects to Claude Desktop, Gemini CLI, or another MCP client over stdio, or to remote clients over streamable HTTP.
