Goose

Goose is a general-purpose, open-source AI agent that runs on a user's own machine as a desktop app, CLI or API, for coding, research, writing, automation and data analysis tasks.

Goose

It works with more than fifteen model providers, including Anthropic, OpenAI, Google, Ollama, OpenRouter, Azure and Bedrock, and can use an existing Claude, ChatGPT or Gemini subscription through the Agent Client Protocol instead of a separate API key. It connects to more than seventy extensions through the Model Context Protocol, and supports building a custom distribution with preconfigured providers, extensions and branding for an organization.

Available as a native desktop app for macOS, Linux and Windows, or as a CLI installed from a downloaded script, plus an API for embedding it elsewhere. Part of the Agentic AI Foundation at the Linux Foundation.

Rust, Apache-2.0.
