# Gortex

A high-performance code-intelligence engine that indexes a codebase into a knowledge graph and exposes it to AI coding agents and IDEs over CLI, MCP or a web UI, aiming to cut the tokens an agent needs per response.

Gortex is a code-intelligence engine for AI agents and IDEs. It parses 257 languages and grammars with tree-sitter, adding compiler-grade resolution for languages such as Python, TypeScript, JavaScript, Go, C, C++, Java and Rust, and builds a persistent, provenance-tiered knowledge graph of functions, classes, call chains, HTTP routes and cross-service contracts with a confidence model, reachable through a CLI, an MCP server exposing up to 175 configurable tools, and a web UI.

It supports multiple repositories in one graph by default, resolving contracts, references and call chains across repository boundaries with evidence-gated matching and per-session isolation, and precomputes a depth-3 reach index so blast-radius queries such as what breaks if a symbol changes run as fast map lookups instead of many tool calls. It plugs into 19 coding agents and IDEs, including Claude Code, Cursor, Windsurf, VS Code/Copilot and Codex CLI, configuring every detected tool on the machine in one install step.

It is written in Go, ships as a single static binary with no external dependencies, and runs entirely locally.
