gws
A single command-line tool for Google Workspace -- Drive, Gmail, Calendar, Sheets, Docs, Chat, Admin and more -- with its command surface built dynamically from Google's own Discovery Service and more than 40 bundled AI agent skills.
The CLI reads Google's Discovery Service at runtime to build its entire command surface, rather than shipping a static list of commands, so it picks up new Workspace API endpoints and methods automatically as Google adds them. Every response is structured JSON, with --help available on every resource, a --dry-run mode to preview a request before sending it, and automatic pagination.
Authentication supports several workflows so it can run on a laptop, in CI, or on a server: guided OAuth setup through the gcloud CLI, manual OAuth configuration, an existing access token, or a credentials file; interactively stored credentials are encrypted at rest with a key kept in the OS keyring by default. The bundled AI agent skills let an LLM manage Workspace directly through the CLI's structured output rather than through custom tooling.
The project's own documentation states it is not an officially supported Google product. It is written in Rust and licensed under Apache-2.0.
